Philosophy
At the turn of the 21st Century, despite advances in science and technology, humanity finds itself facing a series of unprecedented ecological, economic and societal crises. The dominant models of growth and development and the power formations that are advancing them are drivers of intensified risks, inequalities and vulnerabilities.
Interconnect Consulting is committed to transforming power relations in society by supporting individuals, organisations and networks to develop and leverage their collective capacities for systemic change.
We believe positive change happens when networks of actors, especially those historically excluded from decision-making, generate, exchange and act upon knowledge of how to fix broken systems, defend themselves against harmful policies and investments, hold power holders to account and co-create just and sustainable social, political, economic and ecological alternatives.
The challenges faced by humanity are vast in scale but are not insurmountable. However, we believe that the solutions cannot be found in business-as-usual. Rather they require a rigorous pragmatism informed by practical and evidence-based knowledge and a relentless commitment to social and ecological justice.
